Duo Lumiere is a collaboration between violinist Ellie Marks and harpist Ellie Wood.
Formed in 2023 at the Royal Northern College of Music, the duo began playing classical and jazz repertoire together, before establishing as a chamber duo and performing on behalf of RNCM Professional Engagements. They frequently perform around Manchester and the North West area, with concert highlights including Manchester Cathedral; Manchester Harp Festival; and as part of the BBC Philharmonic's preliminary concert series at Bridgewater Hall. They also enjoy playing pop and trad arrangements, playing on they're electric instruments for the 2024 Liverpool WaVes Festival.
Since graduating, they have continued performing together, and look forward to being part of Tattoo Cymru on the 4th October 2025. They have also settled into the wedding market across the UK, as well as creating the Detego Ensemble with fellow RNCM graduate Rhianna Wade. The ensemble aims to musically narrate human experience, collaborating with musicians and artists to produce multi-media concerts.

These include: Elias Quartet, Fitzwilliam Quartet, Lindsay String Quartet, Škampa Quartet, Tallich Quartet, The Paddington Trio and The Pleyel Ensemble. |
